2 Tips for Productive Studying (#1)

Two quick tips to get you out of any study-rat and get you started NOW.

For as long as I can remember myself I’ve always been studying one way or another.

So, for what’s worth, here’s my two cents or rather my two tips for better and more efficient studying.

1. Make your Own Notes!

This one’s a biggie.

You have to remember that the best person in the world to make notes about something in general is only yourself.

You are writing these stuff down because you are the one who gets to study them eventually.

You want to remember what you’ve written and the only way to make this happen is to know exactly what matters for you. And you only.

I don’t undermine the importance of well — crafted notes that may come at large and sometimes by fee, but the ones that are made for you are simply the best.

They come though at a very costly disadvantage:

They take time. Loads of it.

If you want to handcraft the best result for yourself, you’ll have to devote a hefty amount of time because of all the practical part that’s involved into the whole situation.

First and foremost you have to read almost everything beforehand to see the bigger picture of what you’re going to take notes.

Secondly, one way or another, you have to write them down somehow. And I mean physically. Either by hand or with your keyboard.

However, it is just worth it. There is no better substitute because as you write them down, you get the side benefit of getting to learn stuff by heart.

2. Listen to Music

This is controversial. A lot actually.

And science doesn’t seem to agree with me very much on this one.

It is actually proved that when you study, it is best for the brain to remain relatively uninterested let’s say.

On the other hand, I say f**k that shit.

I have always studied silently for my whole life.

Until recently. It was on this Thursday to be honest I decided to take this step as an experiment.

And it worked miracles on me.

But I don’t want you to take my word for it. Studying while listening to music may be tricky to some. But not for me. It was however the case a few years ago.
And I don’t regret for not having it tried all that time.

Because now is just the time for me. And that may be the case with you.

For any of you wanting to try it, I strongly recommend you the “Deep Focus” and “Lo — Fi Beats” on Spotify. There are also a ton of free websites with amazing ambient music and some really nice YouTube channels as well.

Thank you so much for reading guys! Hope I helped somehow.
With all that studying anything at all beneficial for you,
goes a long way for me.

Cheers,
Nick
