How to choose a computer in 2020?
Hey friends, I recently found myself in the same position as the heading of this precise article. I’ve spent over a solid month, if not even more just wondering what’s the best way I can spend my hard — earned money. Let me show you the way.

Well, let’s get the big elephant out of the room right now.
Ask yourself now:
1) How much money do you have to spend?
2) What exactly are you going to use this computer for.

Let me answer these questions for you.
And let’s start from the second one. To be more precise, if you are going to use your laptop or desktop only for the basics, just like surfing the web, watching Netflix and doing an occasional essay, then you’re just fine with under 800$ approximately. You can get away with any i5 and even 8 gigs of RAM. In this territory you’ll have to go with Windows and an SSD would be nice.

And now, expanding the second question, there is a slight chance that you’re not doing only basic things. That’s everything considering photo editing, video editing or any heavy task to be honest.
In this slight chance, you’ll find yourself just a bit more confused.
From where I see it, you have two choices: 1) Either you’ll go for the ‘’overkill’ Windows with at least an i7 or a Ryzen 7 with 16GB of RAM spending around 800–1000 USD. Or.. 2) Go for the MacBooks all the way. BUT, they can’t be brand new at this price range. You’ll have to go for a used one. Anything after 2015 and you should be just fine. If you lost my #guide on how to buy a used MacBook and what to check, click here.

To wrap it up, buying a new PC in 2020 is just a blessing. Just save up and buy whatever you want. Or at least follow my instructions haha. If you want my two cents, just go for the MacBook. It’s an awesome tool and you won’t regret it.

Happy computing everyone,

And have a nice one ;)
