Do you want to get better in writing NOW?

It has been a never — ending question for me and as a matter of fact it’s the same thing I keep thinking over and over again without any obvious reduction of tension in my mind. Until now.

Here we go… in 3 easy steps:

1. Write Simply

It is the best and the easiest piece of advice I’ve ever been given.

It’s not in fact my own idea.

These words are my dad’s.

He has always been telling me to try and write as simply as possible.

And that’s exactly what I’m trying to do every single day.

Does it work? Perhaps.

What I know for sure is that’s the only way to be universally understood.

And that goes a long way in an era of never — stopping information.

What we want, what we actually crave is the need for simple thoughts.

Peace of mind if you like, in order to cleanse our brains.

That honestly is the best way you can achieve transmission of thought and loud and clear writings.

Also you might want to add short tenses in your text.

If you are concise and dense, you’ll be easier understood.

2. Make your text beautiful

To be perfectly honest that’s a skill I’m still trying to master.

And, oh boy, it’s tough.

I can’t seem though to stretch the importance of it enough however.

It is something inconceivable at first, but as soon as you start practicing making things beautiful, you’ll never stop.

The reason for that is pretty straightforward.

You want to make things as attractive as possible.

Because that’s the way people are going to appreciate your context.

You have to make everything so beautifully wrapped, that no-one could ever resist to the urge of reading your piece.

The power of this is literally beyond limits.

You can catch someone’s attention just by adding the right typography, the correct spacing or the perfect distance between your letters and even by adding just the right images to trigger the reaction you want from your audience or the reaction you may very possibly imagine that could arise.

3. Be Yourself

Last but not least, this is the most important tip anyone can give you.

Whatever you do, always, no matter the result you have to be just that: yourself.

It is literally the best way for you to get your audience to know you.

Every single one of us has his or her own unique style which is carried through our personality and our expressions.

It is really magical the way people perceive us.

And even a single human being can be taken away by your existence and even more be helped by your advice or like your style.

The best quote I have ever heard in my life comes from the one and only, Ali Abdaal, who has stated that there are no unique messages.

There are only unique messengers.

And this is so enlightening.

It is so great to realise that it doesn’t matter if what you want to say to the world has been told before, the only thing that matters is the way you are going to convey that same message.

And your own style is what matters.

This makes you beautiful.

This makes you unique. And it’s the best thing about you.
About all of us.

Embrace your own style and spread your sparks everywhere.
