This piece is a brief summary of the latest podcast I listened to called “The Joe Rogan Experience”. It was episode #1470 and the guest was none other but the superstar of our era, our own personal Tony Stark, the one and only Elon Musk. Here’s what we can learn from two hours of content with such an exquisite persona.

  1. Being rich rocks! Well, it should come as no surprise for a lot of us, but Elon believes that being a billionaire is better than most people actually think it would be if they were someday rich. That’s why, because according to him if you want to achieve your goals, you have to be able to allocate heavy funds whenever necessary to move forward. And that particular strategy brings us to his next point…

2. Problems are made to be solved. This is perhaps the most non- unique Elon quote I listened to this episode. What our Iron Man is trying to explain here is that you have to be heavily money — motivated constantly. In order for him to achieve his vision of propelling humanity to other forms of life, he had to create problems and give solutions far better than they originally were. A unique example is the occasion where a German — based car industry made fun of him just before launching Model S and now they’ve just started to implement electric instalments to their lineup. Elon was not a car guy, he just saw a potential problem and a far better solution than what he conventionally had before and he decided to step in.

3. Dream big. See bigger. This is an exaggeration of mine at this point but I can’t help myself here. I might paraphrase here but I can remember Musk clearly stating that when he had just launched Tesla, he didn’t even believe they had a 10% chance of surviving. That’s the best single piece of proof that you need to clearly see that even the best of the best have doubts. He saw a potential opening as we’ve established, but he knew nothing more. He went head over heels with this one because he believed heavily that the market would follow. And oh boy, did they follow…

4. Future is exciting and terrifying. Our multi — billionaire owns another company most of you might have never heard of. It’s called Neuralink. What they do basically, is that they develop skull implants to ‘’fix almost anything wrong with the human brain’’. Here comes the part where it becomes interesting. In principle, as Elon stated, it should be life changing or at least incredibly useful for people with brain damage or any brain disfunction. However, given the fact that a machine connects to your brain directly is something that may arise a ton of questions. And yes, all of them are inevitable according to their boss. AI is coming and is coming at an accelerating pace. With the current workflow and technological advancements Musk has stated that a fully automated brain may be from just five to ten years ahead. We’re talking about dialogue between brains, not people, even if they stand next to each other. For Elon is just a natural outcome to what we’ve been experiencing so far. ‘’If you can’t beat them, join them’’. It’s certainly a taste of what awaits us in the future and most certainly a lot of to process.
