Why I use Bear as my Only Note Taking App

Bear is a free note — taking app created by Shiny Frog Studio, which is a small team of developers focused on delivering the best possible writing experience.

Let me tell you why it has taken me by storm and why I like it so much…

1. Design

Look a these dividers: Further left is navigation, left for editing your notes, right for writing.

Bear bears such a minimal aesthetic that is hard to ignore.

It is made by using three large spaces.

Where you actually write your content, which is on the right, where I’m typing now so to speak, which is frankly and luckily the greater compartment of the app and it has two more smaller spaces on the left,

where you are left to explore the most recent notes of yours

and further left lies a part where you can store whatever doesn’t really matter right now such as To — Do lists, your trashed notes and your #hashtags.

And the best part about it, is that it gives you the option to transform it any way you seem fitting.

You can rather divide it by one, two or three columns as it is originally purposed to be.
